Nowadays Russia is a large developed industrial country with a high level of economy and standard of living. Russia also has the world's largest stocks of natural gas, is its largest manufacturer. Besides the country divides the first-second place on volume of extracted oil, and takes the second place on volume of its export. Russia is one of key participants of the international dialogue. As one of five constant members of Security Council of the United Nations it bears the special responsibility for maintenance of the international peace and safety. Russia is included also into “Large eight” industrially developed states. The country is a member of significant number of other international organizations, including the Council of Europe and the Organization of Safety of the Council of Europe. Russia carries out wide foreign policy. It keep diplomatic relations with 178 countries, has 140 embassies. The foreign policy of Russia is defined by the president of the country Putin V.V. and carried out by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Cultural events will also be held on campus, usually free of charge or at a very low price, and such events provide a good opportunity for meeting Russian students and learning more about customs and traditions of Russia.
